What they're saying about BJE March of the Living
“it has been a while since we went on the March of the Living but I can
still say without doubt that those were two of the most memorable and life
changing weeks of my life.” (Lianna G.)
Because of March of the Living, I feel a much greater sense of responsibility as a
Jewish teenager. As cliché as it sounds, I strongly believe the trip has
changed my life. I have never been so proud of my Judaism (Aaron A.)
Please know that by allowing your children to participate in the BJE
March of the Living, you as parents have given them a life altering
experience. You have connected them to our people and past generations in
a way that will last throughout their lifetimes. This may be one of the
greatest gifts you could bestow upon them. I for one, am extremely
grateful to you for having done that. (Ben L- holocaust survivor)
Our daughter returned a changed person. She has gained a new
perspective on life and shown great growth and maturity. She understands
the burden that rests upon her shoulders, as a young Jewish lady, to keep the
stories alive, and stand united with Israel (parents of Danielle D.)
The March of the Living was unlike any trip I have ever embarked
upon. For starters, when people ask me “Was the trip fun?” I don’t
really know what to say. The odd things is, it was incredibly fun…but it
was also “unbelievable,” “fascinating,” and my favorite “it was inspiring.”(Yuval G.)
I believe that the March of the Living gave me a greater appreciation
and understanding of why it is that I am so proud to be Jewish. Attending
Jewish Day School all my life, being Jewish did not seem special, it was the
norm. the march enabled me to step back from my Jewish bubble and
understand what my people have been through and why our existence today is
nothing short of a miracle. (Michelle P.)
