Lisa Lainer Fagan

Bio

Lisa and her husband Brian Fagan live in the San Fernando Valley and are members of Valley Beth Shalom synagogue. They have three college-aged children who attended Abraham Joshua Heschel Day School, de Toledo High School, and Camp Ramah in California. Lisa held various leadership roles at both schools and has been actively involved with the Jewish Federation and BJE. She is a current board member of Camp Ramah where she spent many summers during her youth. Lisa is a founding board member of the David Labkovski Project which educates students of all ages about Jewish history and the Holocaust through the artwork of David Labkovski, a Lithuanian-Israeli artist who survived WWII as a prisoner in Siberia.

Lisa is a graduate of the Wexner Heritage Program. She was a math major at the University of Pennsylvania, studied for a year at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and received her MBA at UCLA. She is the CFO of her husband Brian’s real estate investment business. Lisa is passionate about genealogy and enjoys sharing her discoveries with others. She gives lectures about her family history research and is a Boy Scout merit badge counselor for genealogy.  She also loves travel, reading, Broadway musicals, and studying Israeli literature.
