Lily Khalili joined BJE as Program Director, Teen Experiential Education. In addition to working on BJE March of the Living, she develops and conducts programs, and consults on experiential education opportunities for LA-area Jewish teens. Prior to BJE, Lily taught elementary and middle school for 12 years, in Los Angeles charter, public, and Jewish Day schools. She has also taught in religious schools throughout Los Angeles and Santa Barbara.
Lily was raised in Los Angeles, where she attended religious school at Adat Shalom and LA Hebrew High. She participated in USY and worked at various Jewish day camps. She received a B.A. from UC Santa Barbara, where she majored in Religious Studies and Art History with a minor in Education. She served as President of UCSB Hillel as an undergraduate. She has a Master’s in Education from USC, where she also earned her State of California teaching credential.
Lily lives in Westwood with her husband, Michael, and their three children, Gabriella, Simona, and Adam. Her children attend local Jewish Early Childhood Centers and Jewish Day Schools.
