BJE/JKIDLA (virtual) Spring Day of Service Learning - Food Insecurity
BJE Community Service Learning Opportunity: Let All Who Are Hungry Come and Eat
On Sunday, May 23, from 9:45-11am, BJE’s JKidLA is holding a virtual Day of Service Learning for community members of all ages. The program will address food insecurity in Los Angeles, the Jewish community’s response, and steps we all can take to make an impact. After hearing from guest speaker Genevieve Riutort, Deputy Director at the Westside Food Bank, participants will separate into breakout rooms based on age to discuss the issue in a Jewish context, including learning about opportunities to get involved.
Children are welcome to participate, though the program is best suited for ages six and up.
