BJE Builders Elana Mabashov and Robin Masnicoff - Beth Shir Shalom

Jewish education is at the heart of Jewish life. It is the driving force behind the connections we feel with fellow Jews worldwide. It is evident in how we practice Tikkun Olam, and it is what fuels our beautiful traditions.

To be a Builder of Jewish education means to be a contributor, to not sit idly by while others take action. One acts on the greater good through and by educating oneself and others in the beauty of Judaism.

The passion our educators have for Jewish living and learning is how they become builders of Jewish education. They have a genuine love for our young people, a desire to pass on their own experience and devotion to Judaism, and a desire to make the world a better place by teaching our children the values of living a Jewish life.

As a result of the pandemic, we have adapted our religious school curriculum to an online learning program. Our students participate in Zoom sessions, including a group T'filah on Sunday mornings. In addition, our older students (grades 3-6) enjoy private Hebrew Zoom sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons. Our preschool is open and follows all guidelines and protocols set by the Los Angeles Department of Health.
