The coming two weeks are filled with professional development opportunities geared to the diverse needs of educators and board leaders. BJE's professional development programs are designed to strengthen schools and improve student learning.
Forthcoming sessions include:
March 7th - Reshet LA - a partnership of BJE and the Union for Reform Judaism to spur innovation in Los Angeles religious schools- will hold its 7th workshop, examining personalized education - how a school can adjust to meet the needs of each individual student.
15 schools are projected to participate.
March 12th - The 37th Annual BJE Bebe Feuerstein Simon Early Childhood Institute "Seeing the Whole Child." The keynote presentation, "Promoting Healthy Brain and Whole Child Development" will be given by Professor Pat Levitt, Simms/Mann Chair in Developmental Neurogenetics, CHLA, and Keck Provost Professor of Neurogenetics at USC. Over 300 educators are expected to attend.
March 13th - Leading Together: BJE's Day School Board Development Cohort which focuses on the Head of School/Board partnership will hold its second session for Heads of School, Board Chairs, and senior Board leaders. Rae Ringel, a faculty member at the Georgetown University Institute for Transformational Leadership and a leading expert in the field of fundraising and board development will facilitate the workshop. Fourteen BJE schools are members of the cohort.
