What can BJE do for me?
BJE works with families and Jewish educational programs, across the spectrum of the entire Los Angeles community, to help children grow deep Jewish roots based on Jewish knowledge and values. It is these roots which will allow them to be involved in and lead the community in the future. BJE helps children, teens, and families on their Jewish journey.
BJE JKidLA connects Jewish families with parent & me groups, preschools, day schools, religious schools, camps, and also with resources that reflect their unique values and preferences. Concierge Rachel Kaplan, 323-761-8624, has a wealth of knowledge and offers complimentary consultation to parents and families. New to LA? Call her. She will spend time with you exploring the various Jewish education opportunities available throughout Los Angeles County.
Jewish schools in LA come in all shapes and sizes. There are preschools, religious schools and private elementary, middle and high schools. Some are small, some are large, some are traditional, some are alternative, some are part-time, some are full-time, some are affiliated with synagogues and some are not, but all seek to instill in your children a passion for Jewish life, learning and community. BJE is here to help you and your family on your journey. Here is a link to a listing of BJE-affiliated Jewish Early Childhood Centers, Day Schools and Religious Schools in Greater LA.
Jewish education is expensive! We understand, and know that many of you require financial assistance to make Jewish school and camp experiences possible for your children. Many Jewish preschools and ALL Jewish day schools, religious schools, camps and special needs programs have funding in place to help you.
We encourage you to speak directly with the staff at the programs you are considering for financial aid information. Every institution has its own financial aid policies and processes and they are not all capable of giving at the same level. It is best to ask early and to disclose honestly and thoroughly the information requested of you.
