Part-time Teachers - Temple Emanuel of Beverly Hills Religious School

At Temple Emanuel of Beverly Hills, we are a Reform diverse, inviting, congregation that is creating a 21st century Religious School. The focus of our Religious School is to create successful Jewish adults. We prepare our students for the world by teaching them to cultivate compassion, empathy, and practical skills through project based learning paired with interdisciplinary STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) education. Our Genesis program takes STEAM learning to new heights by cultivating students’ skill sets in the performing arts and the sciences, within a Jewish context. All our religious school programs teach our students how to weave their Jewish identity into their 21st-century lives to discover a life full of meaning.

We are looking for creative, growth-minded, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, part-time teachers for Sunday mornings (9:00 am – 12:15 pm). Our teachers are people who want to spend time teaching students, learn about education, and invest in the future of our Jewish community. Our educators do not need background in pedagogy (though it is preferable), but do need to have a commitment to professional development about education. Teachers should be familiar with liberal Jewish traditions and liturgy, have experience working with children (preferably in a Jewish learning environment), and have a strong sense of professionalism. We provide a stable and professional work environment of mutual respect and life-long learners. If you would like to become part of our future, please submit your resume for employment consideration.

This is a part-time position.  Please submit your resume to [email protected] and [email protected].
