Camp JCA Shalom Special Needs Inclusion Program

Camp JCA Shalom offers programs for children with special needs entering grades 2-6. Campers may have an extra full-time counselor in the cabin, provided by camp, or parents may send child with a personal aide, if desired. Campers with special needs may attend any session with availability, although some may be better than others. We are partnering with HaMercaz to offer scholarships to campers with severe disabilities.

We oriented teachers, administrators and other educators on the latest issues facing transgender and gender expansive youth, and trained them on how to use our resources in the classroom to create inclusive communities, all seen through the lens of Jewish values and teachings.
