Starting school is a momentous event for every child and their family. We provide a secure and loving place for growth and transition and create a nurturing environment in a Jewish atmosphere of warmth and love where each child has the opportunity to grow, learn and develop at their own pace, and where they are always accepted for their unique self. Congregation Or Ami Kesher Religious School

Kesher means “connection.” Kesher is Or Ami’s K-6th grade youth learning program. At Congregation Or Ami, we believe that Jewish education should nurture our students and leave them with a love of Judaism, a love of Congregation Or Ami as their synagogue and second home, and an understanding and appreciation for why Judaism and Or Ami are sacred in their lives. Valley Outreach Synagogue Center for Jewish Learning

Jewish Teen Learning Center (JTLC)

HAMAKOM is excited to partner with JTeenLearning to provide our community with a meaningful and accessible post-Bar and Bat Mitzvah program. We invite Jewish teens (8th-12th grade) throughout the San Fernando and Conejo Valley to meet on Sundays (10am-12:30pm) once a month during the school-year for unique learning and advocacy training.
The following topics will be explored through interactive programs and field trips:

• Jewish Communities Around the World

Valley Outreach Synagogue Teens 7th – 12th Grade

Once students complete their 6th-grade year in JEMS, they transition into

our Teen Program which offers 7th through 12th graders an opportunity to explore the social realities of this time in their lives guided by Rabbi Ron Li-Paz and Teen & Intergenerational Specialist, Jacqui Kolker.

Through interactive group games, relevant Jewish text study, critical thinking about gender norms, pop culture, and ethics, teens will be able to ask questions and feel heard in a safe environment.
