Job Description: Administrative Assistant Responsibilities:

Facilitate logistics for all youth programming including Kesher (Religious School), Teen programming, Youth Group, Family programming, Retreats, and Synagogue-wide events.
Coordinate schedules for teachers and staff members.
Manage procurement and replenishment of supplies.
Maintain accurate rosters for school and program attendees.
Oversee forms, data, and calendars using ShulCloud, Outlook, and Google calendar.
Lead communication and marketing efforts for the department, encompassing social media management, email correspondence, flier creation, and phone communication with students, teachers, and parents.
Create and manage email lists using Constant Contact.
Spearhead administrative support for Mishloach Manot throughout the synagogue, including researching prices, purchasing items, coordinating volunteers for routes and packing, and maintaining route lists.
Collaborate with the Director of Youth Engagement to uphold budgetary guidelines and strategize for future departmental initiatives.
Youth Group Advisor Responsibilities:

Lead the design and execution of a social, religious, cultural, and experiential initiatives tailored to the needs of:
Mini Youth Group (3-4th graders)
Junior Youth Group (5th-7th graders)
Senior Youth Group (8-12th graders)
Oversee the strategic planning, organization, execution, and staffing of all overnight stays, excursions, and events for the youth groups.
Mentor and empower teenage leaders, nurturing their growth in program design and implementation.
Manage the Youth Group Board and facilitate regular meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Cultivate strong rapport with Youth Group members, offering personalized guidance and support.
Collaborate closely with the Director of Youth Engagement to shape program vision and oversee budgetary considerations.
Forge partnerships with local youth organizations, community events, and external entities to broaden opportunities for teenage involvement city-wide.
Teaching Responsibilities:

Instruct Kesher program classes on Tuesdays and some Saturdays (6-8 throughout the year), adhering to the established curriculum.
Design and implement lesson plans aligned with the broader Kesher curriculum for Tuesday sessions.
Collaborate with the Director of Youth Engagement to develop schedules and programming for JLC Shabbat Days.

Requirements: What You Bring:

Preferred qualification includes a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Demonstrated minimum of two years of experience in an educational Jewish youth environment or relevant field.
Exhibit an enthusiastic and nurturing leadership approach.
Display professionalism, reliability, and a steadfast work ethic.
Maintain a positive demeanor, adaptability, and a penchant for collaborative work.
Exhibit strong follow-through and a dedicated commitment to task accuracy.
Demonstrate the ability to take initiative when undertaking new projects.
