The Silverlake Independent JCC provides developmentally appropriate preschool and kindergarten programming in a stimulating environment that encourages children ages 2-5 to socialize, play and learn. The culture of the school is Jewish, yet it is also a multi-cultural, pluralistic facility. It has a warm and inclusive atmosphere in which religious and secular holidays are celebrated and all cultures are represented. Early and extended care available.

TIOH's Religious School offers a Primary Program for Grades K-3 (Sunday mornings) and 4-6 (Sunday mornings and Wednesday afternoons). Younger students are introduced to Jewish learning through music, stories, Israeli dance, games, and arts and crafts. They learn about Jewish holidays, have exposure to the Hebrew language, and engage in age appropriate, interactive tefillah. Family programs, TOTally Shabbat experiences and shared school, congregational and communal events form the context that each student begins to develop a meaningful Jewish identity.

During the Art Workshop students will hear the stories of survivors and create an art piece that explores the connections between history, identity, and artistic expression.
