Cheder Menachem

Cheder Menachem is a Jewish day school in Los Angeles with a unique and special history. The Cheder grew out of a social and religious commitment to provide the foundation of an all-encompassing Torah and Chabad Chassidic education to every Jewish child. The school is referred to affectionately as ?The Cheder.? The Cheder has served the Chabad Chassidic Orthodox Jewish community since its founding in 1993. The Cheder was founded as, and remains to this day, the only Chabad Chassidic elementary boy?s school of its kind on the West Coast of the United States. As such, its responsibility to develop Jews as leaders and teachers, regardless of future occupations, in the community to spread the Chassidic message and practice is the major focus of the Cheder. Today it serves over 350 students in kindergarten through eighth grade. The Cheder is conveniently located to serve the Greater Los Angeles Jewish community as well as students from nearby communities outside the metropolitan Los Angeles area.
