Camp Tawonga Spring Family Camp

Designed for families with children ages 5-10, our new Spring Family Retreat is a two-night introduction to Camp for families with new or prospective future campers.
Spend time together, participate in a Havarah (small group), make new friends and strengthen the bonds that make the Tawonga community so special. Expand your Jewish learning and deepen your understanding of Jewish traditions and culture in a relaxed, inclusive and inspiring environment. Celebrate in the spirit of togetherness, with the songs, prayers and warmth of Shabbat enveloping us all. Get a “taste of camp” for you and your camper – immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the Sierras, and take part in a wide range of Camp activities for kids and parents alike.

Please note this retreat is an opportunity to escape from screens and the hustle and bustle of regular life. Families should expect to spend their days together. This family retreat is designed for your family to strengthen bonds together and make new friends together as a family. There will not be age-specific day groups – this unique program will offer family rotations, floats and Jewish learning. Childcare will be offered from 8:30pm-10:30pm for adults to enjoy refreshments and activities and games in the dining hall.
