Jewish Community Support Groups
The Jewish Community Mental Health Initiative is dedicated to supporting ongoing mental health clinician-led free support groups for members of the Jewish community. These support groups provide a safe environment to connect the Jewish community. These groups help the community process and navigate the complex emotions and traumatic experiences of the current climate. Volunteer mental health clinicians running the support groups have training in Psychological First Aid to support the Jewish community that is impacted by this challenging time.
We offer a number of general Jewish Adult support groups, as well as a number affinity groups that we'll continue to roll out in Oct-Nov. These groups will include groups for Undergraduate Students, Graduate Students, Parents of College Students and Teens, College Faculty and Staff, Employees at Jewish Organizations, LGBTQ+ community, medical students/residents and more. Each of these support groups will serve to provide a safe space to connect the Jewish community and help members navigate the complex emotions and traumatic experiences of the current climate.
