Hamakom Early Childhood Center

You're never too young to learn! Beginning at 18 months! Shalom and welcome to the HAMAKOM Department of Early Childhood Center!

Starting school is a momentous event for every child and their family. We provide a secure and loving place for growth and transition and create a nurturing environment in a Jewish atmosphere of warmth and love where each child has the opportunity to grow, learn and develop at their own pace, and where they are always accepted for their unique self. HAMAKOM is a place for Jewish children to flourish and find their Jewish identity.

We are more than a synagogue, religious school, and preschool, we are a community that provides many age-specific Jewish programs, ongoing community services opportunities, youth-oriented Shabbat and Jewish Holiday celebrations, and an array of leadership opportunities for adults and youth alike.

The years between 1 and 6 are critical ones in the lives of all children. They are years of expanding horizons, developing abilities and concepts, growing awareness and special fears. Our school provides the tools, space, and support for the kinds of experience needed to cope with this period of rapid physical, emotional, spiritual and intellectual growth. We welcome the opportunity of getting to know you and your children and helping you to nurture them, teach them and share in their growth. We extend to you a warm welcome to our school.

HAMAKOM is a member of the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism and the Builders of Jewish Education, the premiere organization in Los Angeles for supporting and enhancing Jewish educational experiences from early childhood through high school across the full Jewish religious and cultural spectrum
