The Miracle Project Live: Out of our Heads

Friday and Saturday, May 9 and 10, 2025 at the Pico
The Miracle Project Live: Out of Our Heads is a bold, heartfelt sketch comedy show created and performed by a neurodiverse ensemble of young adults. Developed through improvisation, collaboration, and lived experience, the show features original scenes, songs, and spontaneous moments that explore everything from self-expression to social anxiety—with intelligence, imagination, and plenty of humor.
While it’s packed with laughs, Out of Our Heads is ultimately about truth—the kind we don’t always say out loud. It’s about the thoughts that swirl in our minds, the feelings we struggle to name, and the freedom that comes from getting them out—through art, through comedy, through song, and through connection. The ensemble dives headfirst into the beautifully messy, deeply relatable parts of being human—and in doing so, gets out of their own heads and into something shared.

In a world that often feels divided, this ensemble creates something that brings people together. Through laughter, honesty, and a willingness to be fully themselves, they offer a reminder that the things we keep in our heads—our worries, our joys, our quirks—are often the very things that connect us.

Out of Our Heads was created as part of The Miracle Project’s Company Class, a fully inclusive performance troupe of young adults with and without disabilities. The Miracle Project—founded by Elaine Hall—is an award-winning nonprofit that has provided inclusive theater, film, and expressive arts experiences to neurodivergent, disabled, and non-disabled individuals for over 20 years. The Miracle Project’s work centers joy, belonging, and self-expression, while honoring disability as a meaningful identity and source of creative power. Through its programming, TMP challenges perceptions of what inclusion can look like onstage—and expands the definition of who gets to be seen, heard, and celebrated in the arts.

*ASL Interpretation will be available for the performance at 7:30pm on Friday, May 9th.
