Early childhood education is so much more than playtime for young children. Early Childhood Centers are places where children begin to develop who they are in relation to others; they are places where whole families grow, learn and build community; they start a trajectory for the child and the family that takes them into new areas of physical, cognitive, social and emotional development and connection.
BJE works with 55 Jewish Early Childhood Centers and countless Parent & Me programs across greater Los Angeles. BJE’s ever-evolving services include:
This past school year, in lieu of the Bebe Feuerstein Simon ECE Conference due to Covid-19 safety measures, we offered a series of webinars for early childhood educators including a keynote address. Next school year, we will continue to offer virtual professional development opportunities throughout the year but hope to resume an in-person ECE Conference, if allowed.
Early Childhood Director’s Network provides directors with a place to share resources, receive professional support from peers and engage in high-level professional development specifically designed for those running Jewish Early Childhood Centers.
