For teens, BJE offers exciting and engaging opportunities to take Jewish learning outside the classroom. Whether travelling through Jewish history and celebrating its future on March of the Living, or sharing meaningful community service experiences right here in Los Angeles with BJE Impact, teens will have the chance to explore powerful concepts such as ethics, values, tolerance and compassion through a Jewish lens.
BJE March of the Living is a two-week experience during which teens from all over the world travel together to Poland and to Israel to learn about the Jewish people’s past, present and future. The program in Poland focuses on the pre-World War II Jewry and the Holocaust and then travels to Israel to celebrate Israel’s Memorial Day and Independence Day.
BJE Impact: The Center for Jewish Service Learning engages in meaningful service opportunities that combine hands-on action, Jewish learning, and identity building. It also offers professional development opportunities and information for educators who work with teens.
Professional Development - For Jewish educators working on the front line of Jewish experiential education with teens – at synagogues, schools, JCCs and camps - BJE offers a variety of opportunities for professional development.
